BRAMPTON, ONTARIO, CANADA, August 9, 2019 –  Heading into the final weekend of the games, the organizers of the Global T20 Canada Cricket Tournament expect a record turnout at Sunday’s final match as the tickets are completely sold out in all premium categories, with only very limited tickets left in two non-premium categories.

The Brampton Wolves will take on the Winnipeg Hawks in the Qualifier 2 tomorrow, Saturday, August 10 at 2:00PM EST.  The winner of this qualifier will advance to the Final on Sunday, August 11, to play against the defending champion Vancouver Knights at 2:00PM EST.

Organizers of GT20 expect a record-breaking day on the final match.  Their official ticket sales records show that the Gold, VIP and Corporate categories of Sunday’s final match are completely sold out, with only very limited tickets still available in the Silver and Bronze categories.

“This coming weekend would be the most anticipated weekend of the season.  The final match is selling out very quickly.  It is very obvious that people are more willing to pay the premium price for this premium experience.  The response from fans has been extraordinary,” says Karan Singh, Chief Operating Officer of the Global T20 Canada.

Official sales figures show that the premium categories have been outselling the other categories, indicating that people are willing to spend more to see the final match.  Ticket trends also show that the 35 and above age group is the largest among attendees in this coming weekend, and over 80% of tickets were sold advance online, indicating that game-goers have continued to take advantage of the pre-game sale discount.

“We are very pleased that our ticket sales have been going at brisk pace throughout the tournament.   Following the record-breaking opening match, we expect another record-setting day on the final match. We are confident that it would be a completely sold-out match on Sunday, which would outperform last year’s final and this year’s record-breaking opening match,” Singh added.

Tickets are sold at box office or in advance online at the following discounted rates with Bronze Premium for $20, Silver Premium for $34.50 (Youth of 12 & under at $29.50), Gold Premium for $54 (Youth – $48) and VIP for $109 (Youth – $99).

$0.50 from each ticket sold in the entire tournament will go to support the SickKids Foundation, GT20’s Official Charity Partner.  For complete tickets information, visit www.gt20.ca/tickets.  For ticket inquiries, call ticket hotline at 905-795-1439, or email tickets@gt20.ca.
